3 node cluster support in v7 ?

Hello - I have read thru the v7 sslvpn admin guide and see the node clustering info..

I have a customer with 2 sites, running Active-Active in a multi-site configuration
and using DNS to point users to the single portal. He has a primary site and a backup site.

My questions are:

1. Can I have 3 nodes in a Active Active cluster? I believe so, I understand I will need a load balancer or DNS to force users to one box...

2. Can I have 3 nodes in an active passive cluster? If so, is there a weighting I can apply to force one unit(backup site) to become active only when the other 2 are not?

From what I read I'm guessing 3 nodesin active/active will be the way to go...

regards,

Don

Re: 3 node cluster support in v7 ?

I found the answer..in the nsm guide...

The number of members permitted in a cluster depends on whether the cluster is
configured in active/active mode or in active/passive mode. You can have no more than
two cluster members in active/passive mode. In active/active mode you can have up to
eight members.

To confirm, yes, you can do 3-node active/active/active; active/passive is two node only.

Please note that using DNS for load-balancing is not supported; you need to use a solution that supports source IP sticky and has no reliance on DNS round-robining.

If the load balancer can host the name for all nodes and track sessions by IP, you are fine.
