after updating Screen os 6.5.r2 from 6.5 r1 windows XP pro sp3 client having problem intializing ADVANED END Point Security Malware Protection
it hangs at checking exisiting installtion .
I have uninstalled , host chekcer , cache cleaner and junipe cleint and let to reinstall automatically
still it fails at checking existing installation .
any ideas how to trouble shoot this issue
Do you have Kaspersky installed on the client PC; if so does uninstalling it allow AED to operate as expected? the 6.5R3 Release Notes list the following as a known issue:
"7. If AED is configured, and client has Kaspersky AS or AV installed, client will freeze when auto-remediating."
I believe this also can effect 6.5R2. It would be best to open a JTAC case to track the problem and attach client-side logs, event log and user access log. If it is this Kaspersky related issue your case can be linked to the relevant PR.
client got sophos ver 7 installed. not kapersky.
any other suggestions anyone come a cross..
Does the client use a proxy?
No its a hopme based user and no proxy server.
Juniper Advanced End point - malware protection is installed on "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Juniper Networks\Endpoint Defense"
is there any tool available to uninstalle this program ?
unitall.exe wont uninstal even i stoped juniper service on client pc.
