Active Sync

Can anyone explain the active sync? Can I use it without installing the client software (junos pulse etc) on mobile clients? How I can configure Active Sync on SSL VPN device and on iphone?

Now I understand this with mobile phone. But can I connect IVE from PC without installing any client software on PC.

Depending on the backend resource you may or may not need any clients and brower should be more than enough..

eg if the backend application is web application/file server you dont need any clients and browser which supports SSL should be more than enough.

ActiveSync is available only for mobile clients; you can get mail through the rewriter as explined by viji; however, in order to use a client  software, eg outlook, you will need to run a client software such as pulse.
