ActiveSync OWA and 7.4r7

Hi, we just upgraded our lab unit to 7.4r7, to overcome the activesync/owa issue that is documented, we had used an IP address for the Virtual Sign in profile for Active Sync and then the FQDN for OWA,  this works in the version we were on which was 7.1r7.  Having just the IP now breaks activesync, i suspect becuase of the certificate.  Has anyone else seen this?  I assume we would now have to get a new cert, add another name to it, and then install it on the exchange box and use that FQDN (internally) for the IVE activesync sign in......

Re: ActiveSync OWA and 7.4r7

Hi Mike,

8.0r1 does the same!

The certificate authority has to be known in the box ( so install root cert) AND indeed the name you use in the Activesync setup has to be in the certificate on the server.

Runyour own authority is the easiest way :-)
(Externally all is done by the SSL, who can have a public cert)

Maarten

Re: ActiveSync OWA and 7.4r7

Thank you both, as it turns out you were both correct, for us, it was a lot simpler to just use option one in the KB.  Thanks for posting it, i never seem to have  any luck actually finding what i am looking for in the juniper KB sections.  In any case, good post for anyone in my situation and a very simple fix.
