Adding multiple URL to Pulse Secure Client

Hi,

We plan to move from old MAG appliance to new PSA (On-Prem and Cloud)

Our clients have already the Pulse Secure client installed with 1 URL to connect to the old MAG server.

We would like to setup the new infra (on-prem and cloud) and push the new URL to the clients.

When everything will be ok, we will remove the old MAG appliance and manage everything with the new on-prem PSA

1- Is it possible to do this and how?

2- What woud be the steps for this migration?

Thanks

Kind regards

@roms

You can edit the connection in MAG to add the new PSA URL. (Users >> Pulse Secure Client >> Connections)

Next thing is to preserve the server-ID used in the Pulse Client connections that would be the MAG appliance, hence the first step of this migration would be exporting the client connections & components from MAG to PSA using XML import.

Since the server-ID will be same with the XML import, Pulse Clients can be managed using PSA which has the same connection set as MAG, there'll be no difference observed by the users.

Re: Adding multiple URL to Pulse Secure Client

we are using such scenario  on the same way.
You can push 2 URLs to the client.
eg "OldOne" and "NewOne".
If the "NewOne" is not rechable (e.g. disable the authenticarion realm in the SignIn Policies on the PCS for the "NewOne"), the client is using the "OldOne".
So you can switch your Users by enabling/disabling the PCS authentication realms.
Keep in mind: Always connected user will stay active after disable the authentication realm.

For us it works perfect

Re: Adding multiple URL to Pulse Secure Client

Thanks,

And when the old appliance will be removed, I just need to "Assume ownership" on the new appliance to be able to add stuff in the future? correct?
