Allowing Users to download docments from web bookmarks

Greetings,

I ran into this issue the other day when a user wanted to download a timesheet from a web portal bookmark.

He kept getting and error from internet explorer saying it could not download the file from the intranet cite.

I advised him to open ie on his desktop and he was able to download the file. I was wondering if anyone has ideas on why he couldnt download the file from the bookmarked link in the web portal?

You might be running into this IE bug http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=323308.
May need to create a custom web caching policy to do something other than "smart caching.
