Re: Android Support

HI Guys,

Can any one please help me with the JSAM / WSAM configuration. I have many users who want to use it through Andriod phones or tablets.

Regards,

Re: Android Support

JSAM does not work on non-desktop OS clients. WSAM is Windows(r) only.
In order to provide access to the network in a similar manner, you need to configure an L3 VPN with pulse. You can also use web-based access

Re: Android Support

having to mangle certtificates the way described in order to enable Junos Pulse on a Android device to use certificates with Junos Pulse is not sustainable for a large user community. Does this work with Junipers MDC solution ?

I have also access to a Cisco Anyconnect gateway and have installed Cisco Anyconnect on my SAMSUNG Galaxy SII. I can even get the cert from our MDM since the cert required for Anyconnect is a single PEM (pfx) file that has everything.

So if Cisco can do this I do not see why this is not possible for Juniper with Junos Pulse on Android. ( Instead of having to go thru this tedious process of creating a cert and then manually having to separate and convert it into a key and cert file)

Any response from Juniper folks on this forum ?

Re: Android Support

I know it is something that has been looked at; however, I don't know the status on if it is something that has had enough interest posed for the effort or if a new mechanism has been found in the latest Android releases.
This is something best taken up with your account team as they can contact/work with the product team on finding out about any changes for this component.

Re: Android Support

With an MDM pushing certificates out to my devices, the certs do not live on the SD card anywhere that can be mangled for Pulse.

In addition, is Pulse still certificate OR userid+password?

Re: Android Support

I could use some help getting android to work on Junos as well.  If I am using a self-signed certificate would I need to import it in again another format in order for it to be trusted on the phone, under settings and security, import certificates from SD card?

I tried building the certificates and then convert them to der format but cannot get it to work - any advice (using openssl certificates)

Re: Android Support

jpayne: yes, android continues to be certificate OR username & password

ofinigan: are you referring to using certificate authentication or for the inbound-to-SA certificate?

Re: Android Support

I have a question!

I setup the Junos pulse on my SA2000, everything is working fine as long as you connect using a IPAD or IPHONE.

Tried to connect using 3 differents android devices and all of them, returns me the same error:

"FAILED TO CONNECT TO THE SERVER"

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Android Support

What type of authentication are you using? Are you connecting with IP or hostname?
What does the user access log show? When is this error showing: when trying to pull up the login screen or when trying to launch the VPN?
