Android Support

Hi,

I've been looking everywhere here but can't seem to find a definitive answer - when will there be support for Junos Pulse on the Android platform?

I'd like to be able to get Network Connect level functionality on an Android phone, but from what I've been seeing it doesn't look like this is possible.  Is this true?

Re: Android Support

Are the clients ones that support VPN (typically >= Android 4.0); however, it is still possible for vendors to remove this support (or forget to include it in specific versions of their software). If you look at the client-side log, you will need to email it to yourself, do you see anything regarding the tunnel not being setup or the VPN driver being missing?

Re: Andorid Support

i'm interested in this at well. In fact I'd love to have a pulse client for OSX, Linux, iPhone, and Android. iOS support is slated for 4.1. Any eta on the other platforms.

Re: Andorid Support

Junos pulse client for iOS 4.0 is under testing phase. However for other mobiles platforms, as of now there is no ETA available.

If there's such a delay, are there alternatives to using the application? What sort of connectivity can one get without it?

Re: Andorid Support

You can use the standard web & file browsing functionality of the IVE.

If there is an IKEv2-compatible client for Android, it *may* be possible to connect through that tunnel

Re: Andorid Support

How would I set that up? I am unsure of what settings I would need to use (assuming I find one anyway).

Re: Android Support

In 7.0, where this feature becomes available, you would configure it at System>Configuration>IKEv2 and choose the realm you would like to use. Currently only certificate-based authenticaiton is possible and will need to be used on the realm you choose for IKEv2 use. You will then need to enable IKEv2 on the role at Users>User Roles>roleName>General.

Re: Android Support

ok went to System>Configuration>IKEv2 and enabled IKEv2 for our Users realm then created a new Role called Android Users and enabled IKEv2 but it says no role based options and im not clear on whether i make a new rule and if i do which option is needed for "rule based on"
