Anyone using 7.2R3.0 and Host Checker - stability opinions please

Wondering if anyone has taken the plunge and upgraded to 7.2r3 and is using host checker?

I ask because our first forray into the 7.2 code was a major fiasco (host checker) and I really, really, really want to avoid that again.

Hi jspanitz,

in your case I would highly recommend to set up a VMware DTE environment, push over the configuration and try iall specific uses cases out, it you're not experiencing any problems you could step over to the production system.

I'm currently testing 7.2R3 in a lab environment. We recently went from 6.5R2 to 7.1R6 in our production environment and I concurr, our HostChecker issues were horrible. Since moving to 7.1, our HostChecker calls on Win 7 and Vista have gone though the roof. Many if not most of these calls require a very lengthy, manual uninstall of HostChecer.

I'm hoping that going from 7.1R6 to 7.2R3 will not have the same effect.

I'm planning to get my upgrade done within the next three weeks. I'll add my results afterward.

I just wanted to report back that we did the upgrade from 7.2r2 to 7.2r3 and we've only had one user with a problem so far.  No host checker issues like the original 7.2 upgrade.

That's good to hear. When you first upgraded to the 7.2 code, were you upgrading from 7.1 or from 6.x?
