Application launcher error using iphone hotspot

When connecting Mac to iPhone EE hotspot I get the following error when trying to connect to my company network:

"An error was encountered while fetching target application. The secure gateway returned an unexpected response code. Please contact your system administrator. (Error condition Sl0x13)"

Mac OS is Monterey and UK mobile provider is EE, no issues connecting over wifi. I've contacted EE and they advised the APN cannot be configured.

I seem to recall I was able to connect fine using Mac OS Big Sur - is this a known issue with Monterey and is there a work around?

Thanks.

Re: Application launcher error using iphone hotspot

@darryllgooch Are you trying to launch JSAM through web portal? If possible, can you please share the error screenshot?

I can see a similar error (different error condition though) in one of our KB articles - https://kb.pulsesecure.net/articles/Pulse_Secure_Article/KB43833/?kA1f1000000fz7V

Using M1 Apple or Intel based models?

Re: Application launcher error using iphone hotspot

Yes, trying to launch JMAS via web portal and Mac is M1.

Error message is:

[Secure Application Manager] Error

An error was encountered while fetching target application.

The secure gateway returned an unexpected response code.

Please contact your system administrator. (Error condition SL0x13)

Re: Application launcher error using iphone hotspot

@darryllgooch Please confirm the PSAL version being used ~/Library/Application Support/Pulse Secure/PulseApplicationLauncher.app/Contents/Resources/versioninfo.ini (path after contents might be incorrect, however, in some folder you'll find a text file with version info added)

If the PSAL version if equal/greater than 9.1R12, then it's expected to see this due to Arch difference. Reference - https://kb.pulsesecure.net/articles/Pulse_Secure_Article/KB44896/?kA13Z000000L3ac

Can you please request your helpdesk to open a support ticket with us for the JSAM part?
