Hello,
We have a few how-to guides on configuring and using the SSL VPN on the support site today. Are there any additional guides that any of you would like to see added to the support site? We cannot guarantee that we can create guides for all of your suggestions, but if we have enough interest in certain areas we will work to add these to the site.
Thanks,
Chris
Can you tell me if there is a software keyboard available for entering the password ?
(in case you have a key logger).
there are also some demands regarding linux 64 bits and network connect.
some forums mentions it and it works from the command line, but maybe a technote would be helpfull for this.
There is a "demo" html page that shows the soft keyboard capability. I believe that if you download the demo pages it is called kiosk (doing this from memory).
That is correct, there is a sample page here that contains an example of how you can use a software keyboard: Authentication --> Signing-In --> Upload custom pages --> Kiosk Example
Currently 64bit Linux isn't supported for Network Connect. It would be best to contact your SE to have a feature request filed to request this support. 7.0 IVE OS only supports 32bit Linux: http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/ive/releasenotes/j-sa-sslvpn-7.0-supportedplatforms.pdf
i would like to see "how-to-guide" for RDP connection using terminal services & webbookmark
sothat when a user clicks a bookmark he can access his PC using RDP
What would be nice is a HELP button that can be added to the VPN login page that points to a library of docs on the Juniper site. Topics like RDP use, supported AV checks, and so on would be nice in a "FAQ" section. A feature like this would eliminate the stale old static versions that we have to continuously update and serve up to the users AND we can be sure that the most current documentation is being delivered to the users.
I would recommend that you first go through all of the existing guides and bring them up-to-date. Some of them were developed for machines on Release 4.0 or so. You've added a lot of features since then.
Ken
kenlars: We are actually working on a project to do so now.
Telnet-1: Do you mean a user guide? This sounds like something that would be better created by an IT department since network configurations can vary. These guides are more for administration configuration tasks.
TheHorse13: This is a good idea. It would be more of an enhancement to the product though so it would need to be submitted by an SE. This would be possible today if you were to edit your sign in pages by using a custom sign in page.
See my earlier post today; I'd love to see a how-to-guide for using Open Directory as an authentication model with Juniper VPN devices.
I would like to see an SRX series integration how-to guide with MAG devices for SSL VPN.
