Auto-launch application within Terminal Server session

When using Microsoft's built-in RDP client, I can choose to start a program within a terminal server session, once the session connects. (i.e. log into the terminal server and automatically launch a program within it.)

Is it possible to do this with an SA-2000 running 6.5R3.1 (or newer) code? Would I be able to do it another way, such as instead of launching it as a TS session, somehow launch a .rdp file?

Thanks!

Re: Auto-launch application within Terminal Server session

The other way I have auto-launched programs on MS terminal server is to use a short cut in the start menu--Start up folder. If it is for everyone on the server put it in the "all users" profile and it will behave the same for everyone.

Re: Auto-launch application within Terminal Server session

There are two ways you can do this:

1) Set the application location in the TS bookmark application field. When the user launches the bookmark, the applicaiton will launch and that is the only item in that window. Please note that this mechanism requires the server to allow application launching from the client.

2) If you have Windows Server 2008 and use the published application mechanism there, you can enable seamless mode on the TS bookmark and put the name of the application

Hope that helps; good luck!
