Backup / restore of an Active/Passive cluster

Hello,

How can I do a backup / rstore of an active passive cluster?

Do I have to backup the system.cfg of each node or only one?

The what would be the procedure?

Thank you

Re: Backup / restore of an Active/Passive cluster

Hi Globix,

The system.cfg file containts node specific configurations like, ip address, certificate, etc, so we must take back up of system.cfg from each node.

Saying that, In each cluster node, we recommended collecting both system.cfg and user.cfg. Backup/restore procedures are well explained in Admin guide

http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/ive/admin/j-sa-sslvpn-7.1-adminguide.pdf

page number 760. Please have a look at it and let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

Suresh

It is good to have a backup of each system.cfg in case you need to do a total restore; you only need one user.cfg as it is mirrored between units
