I am trying to configure my iPad to be able to join the our domain from the Pulse VPN. What I am trying to accomplish is not to have the user have to sign on every internal site when connected. Has anyone been able to accomplish this?
While joining the domain is not an option, you can create SSO web bookmarks that will allow users to get to these resources without needing to sign in to every single one.
I know we can do it with the web SSO but we are using fell VPN access via group attribute check and NT ID and PWD for a POC. Using the Web is not an option for us.
Well, iOS can't join AD. You're left with some form of web-based SSO, whether that's on the SSL VPN unit or on a separate SSO portal, or telling your users to sign in to every app. Pick your poison.
+1 for tbehrens: the iOS platform does not have the concept of a domain to join.
it would be a neat idea to request from Apple, but it is not something that can be done through a 3rd-party application
We would like to accomplish the same this as well with SSO to our internal applications. We are getting tired of having to enter our domain\xxxxx credentials for each resource.
How can we publish a Web SSO link for an internal resouce?
Create the web bookmark on the role your users login against.
They will then click on the "intranet" link inside Pulse; from there, they will see the bookmarks you have configured and they can click on it there.
**Please note that in order to do SSO on iOS devices, the users MUST access the site through the Pulse app (or login through Safari to the IVE for bookmark access).
