Cannot find trace file

Hi, i'm obviously doing something stupid or missing something right in front of my eyes but need help with session recording.

Running an SA-4500 6.3r1.

Have gone into Maintenance > Troubleshooting > User Sessions > Sessions recording.

Have entered users id and realm, ticked the boxes and hit Start recording. Status shows as Recording.

Had the user log in and access some systems and logout.

Returned to admin console and hit Stop Recording. Page refreshes and the box Current Trace still shows None. Havng read the help guides i believe the new trace file should appear. I know it's worked in the past as I've had Juniper do a sessions record before.

Am i missing a step to open the trace file?

Thanks,

Re: Cannot find trace file

Did you double check that the user session in question was being recorded. They should see a message upon login saying that they are being recorded. I would start with that to make sure that you have the correct realm/user combination.

Re: Cannot find trace file

It say's it's recording from both the admin console and the user session.

Re: Cannot find trace file

So the user logs in and then accesses a web page but there is no trace file? That is bizarre - one thing comes to mind - perhaps the web page that they are accessing is set to no-rewrite? I have never tried that but if the SA is not processing the page then perhaps that is why there is no trace.

Re: Cannot find trace file

I tried multiple things when it was recording, opening web pages, fileshare and using RDP. No trace created.

It's very strange.

I'll retry and make sure teh site's are being rewritten.
