Hello
I run in trouble with above written constellation. If I had connected with Pulse to my SA 6k5 (running on 7.1R2)
I start Citrix webinterface through the Pulse intranet link. After signing in to citrix I get my link with the Citrix desktop ica file. When I click on the link, receiver will not start.
Otherwise I make my connect over Safari to the SA, login, open my citrix webinterface, login, get my ica, click on it, receiver starts. But get no connect, because Pulse is not started.
Any suggestions or experience_s.
Greetings
Rainer
Do you have Autolaunch enabled for JunOS Pulse on the role you get assigned when connecting via your iPAD?
Thanks,
Kristof
Same Problem here....
I suspect, that launching Citrix-Apps over the Junos-Intranet-Link to any Citrix WI (we are are using 5.2) doesn't reach the local installed receiver under iOS (Sandbox?).
Only the http-request to Citrix WI is in the Log from our SA.
This would be a great relieve to make it work - it's far to complicated to instruct our Users to put a URL in the Citrix-Receiver or centrally manage it.
Hi zanyterp,
Exactly my point ... seems we're on the same wave length only our wordings differ ...
Kind regards,
K.
Hello,
1) JICA - WI
with WI 5.4 same issue here.
Can log on to the WI 5.4 via Junos Bookmark with out any issues. All Desktop and other Apps are listed. When an App is chosen, a "loading gif" appears for few second on LHS to chosen App and then nothing happens.
2) ICA - JSAM
When settings in Junos IVE is changed as shown in attached image then a popup appears on Ipad "The session manager window failed to open because your web browser is configured to block pop-ups."
If the alert is pointing to Safari browser then it is not the case as the same alert pops-up when popups are allowed in Safari, hence alowing or disallowing Safari Pop-ups have no influence.
So what is thie popup about? I also couldn't find any related settings in IVE but "open bookmarks in new window" which in my view has nothing to do with it.
Therefore I tend to agree that this issue is more Receiver related and needs to be fixed by Citrix or Jailbreak Ipads and register ICA files to be opend by receiver.
At present we have decided to use receiver App, but i would love to use WI with SSO.
For those who don't know you can also email the users the Receiver URL via Reciever App interface. Go to Settings > Accounts> Your Company Apps > Send Account Settins (or something similar).

I don't think the CTS-client will work on an iPad (if you are using this for your intranet link).
I have had this working by connecting Pulse first and then launch the application or desktop via Citrix WI in Safari. The Citrix Receiver option has then been avaliable in the "open file with.." dialog..
@OstenAX: Yes, you are correct. The WI bookmarks will not work.
From the screenshot for the pop-up warning, you were attempting to use JSAM on iOS (which will not work as there is no JRE on the iOS platform).
The pop-up is from the JSAM applet attempting to launch; it is nothing to do with other settings, you are correct. The Citrix Receiver app is what is needed for Citrix to work; WI and SSO is not available.
