Cluster synchronization protocol

Hi

I was wondering what synchronization protocol was used by default when clustering 2 SA6000 boxes in an active acticve cluster?

The manual talks about being able to choose Unicast, Multicast, or Broadcast when creating multi unit or muti site clusters with 3 or more devices but says nothing about 2.

Thanks
Pete

Re: Cluster synchronization protocol

Mrkool,

This option should appear only in a multi-site or more-than-two cluster.

I believe that for the 2-node cluster it is unicast.

well i am running 5.5 on a 2 member cluster and am running 6.0r4 on another one and 5.5 shows the option but 6.0 does not.

Re: Cluster synchronization protocol

I am running a SA6000 cluster with only 2 units in the cluster. I have all options available (Uni, Multi and Broadcast). I chose unicast since I am going over a WAN for my Active/Active setup. This option existed in 5.5R4 and in 6.3R3.1 which I upgraded to.
