Clustered SA2000's: Cannot create Super Admin Session for Password Reset

Our admin password was recently changed and the old password was updated in our password manager. Unfortunatly the password did not "take" and I cannot login with the new or the old password. I have a console on the cluster (tried this on both nodes) and I am failing to see how I can create the super admin session. It keeps asking me to login.

Here is what I see:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Press Enter to modify system settings.

Welcome to the Juniper Networks Junos Pulse Secure Access Service Serial Console!

Please input an administrator username and password.
Admin username: admin
Password:
Error: Username or password do not match_

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------_

What do I have to do to get this reset again and regain admin access?

We're running j-sa-7.1R1.1-b17943_ on both if that changes anything._

Thanks in advance!

Re: Clustered SA2000's: Cannot create Super Admin Session for Password Reset

This has nothing to do with clustering. What has happened is that the console settings were changed and the option to "toggle password protection" was selected.

You can't disable this without knowing an admin password but you can break the boot sequence via "Ctrl-S" and I believe that you can reload to factory-default at that point in time.
