Anyone know how to configure this ?
We have a bunch of internal web site & our SharePoint server that are not running quite well with the rewriting engine. I don't want to use SAM for it. How can I configure a URL for a site behind our Corporate Firewall to be accessed by the IVE without rewriting the code.
I tryed the method in the Juniper Documentation but the site is not showing up.
any idea ?
NicolasBedard,
You'd want to use selective rewriting:
Selective Rewriting: (Users --> Resource Profiles --> Web --> Selective Rewriting)
You can configure the IVE to only rewrite specific pages based on domain, IP or IP CIDR block. This will tell the rewriter to merely pass the page through, without modifying it.
accessing a web bookmark through the IVE with the option "do not rewrite" is only working by having NC or i think also (J)SAM running.
i had to use the entire fqdn in the resource in order for it not to be rewritten, otherwise there would still be some dana-info garbage in the link and would cause all sorts of problems, so for example if the link is http://portal, you would need to make it http://portal.my.domain.com . try that
It's what I tryed. But the page did'nt showed up of only few parts of the page showed up. It was really a worse results than using the re-writing engine
Did you used the "Don't Rewrite (without redirect)" option ?
hi
are you tired to to allow access in roussource policy ===> web ACL : set url of your portal ? and
set rewrinting policy : Don't rewrite content: Do not redirect to target web server
please let me know
It is not possible to access a site through the IVE web engine without being rewritten.
There is a policy option to not rewrite and not redirect, but this gets only the single page elements (referrals will not work) and will cause display failure.
If you do not want to use the core rewrite engine, you can use passthrough proxy rewrite engine and see if the page displays better. If you do not want to use either rewrite engine or SAM, the other option is Network Connect and have your users access the intranet sites as if they were in the office
What is failing on your SharePoint site? Are you configuring it with a resource profile or role-specific bookmark? What version of SharePoint?
