Custom sign in page - forward parameters

Hi,

My customer wants to achieve the following:

An external application is calling ssl.xxx.com/welcome.cgi  with several predefined parameters, i.e. ssl.xxx.com/dana-na/auth/url_1/welcome?param1=value1&param2=value2. The user logs in normally, then these parameters in the sign-in page should after the successful login be forwarded to a custom start page (User roles -> Web -> UI options). Not important, but to be complete: the user is being authenticated  to the custom start page through SSO.

Is this possible at all? Has anyone ever done/seen this?

I do not believe this would be possible by modifying the url, but should be possible by configuring an SSO policy on the SA device.

It is not possible to send parameters through the login URL. Is the information available in some other way, such as user enters the credentials or is part of their attribute on the attribute server, so that you can create the SSO &/or header policy as outlined by kita?
