Customizing Primary/Secondary login error information

Hi!

Hopefully this is a quick question, I have an SA4500 running 7.1R4 and I was wondering if there was a way that I could customize the failure response for Primary or Secondary username or password messages?

Instead of:

Invalid primary username or password. Please re-enter your user information.

Is this a customizable field? If it is I haven't been able to find where yet.

Thanks,

Re: Customizing Primary/Secondary login error information

Look for the following code in the loginpage.thtml

<%IF LoginPageErrorMessage %>
<tr>
<td colspan=3>
<table cellpadding=1 bgcolor=#cccc99><tr><td>
<table cellpadding=2 bgcolor=#FFFFCC><tr><td>
<% LoginPageErrorMessage %>
</td></tr></table>
</td></tr></table>
</td>
</tr>
<% END %>

Replace it with (enter your own message in place of ****Your Custom Message******)

<% IF LoginPageErrorCode == 1002 %>
<tr>
<td colspan=3>
<table cellpadding=1 bgcolor=#cccc99><tr><td>
<table cellpadding=2 bgcolor=#FFFFCC><tr><td>
<b> ****Your Custom Message******</b> /td></tr></table>
</td></tr></table>

<% ELSIF LoginPageErrorMessage %>
<tr>
<td colspan=3>
<table cellpadding=1 bgcolor=#cccc99><tr><td>
<table cellpadding=2 bgcolor=#FFFFCC><tr><td>
<% LoginPageErrorMessage %>
</td></tr></table>
</td></tr></table>
</td>
</tr>
<% END %>

Re: Customizing Primary/Secondary login error information

As far as I know, these messages are not customisable from the Admin GUI of the SA.

However, you could use the Custom Sign-in Pages and modify the messages there to achieve this. Hope this helps.

Re: Customizing Primary/Secondary login error information

Look at the Custom Sign-In Pages document on the Juniper web site for the version you are running. Within that document, look for the sections describing LoginPageErrorCode and LoginPageErrorMessage. There are examples there which will help guide you.
