DTE - Factory Default at Every Bootup

I used the OVF tool to convert the DTE 7.0r2 into an image that would work in VMware Workstation. However, every time I boot the virtual appliance it appears as factory default and asks me to do the standard IP address, create administrator, etc.

Is this something gone wrong during OVF tool conversion, or some other setting I'm missing? (And I'm choosing "current" from the intial boot loader menu too!)

Did you set the image to persistent (to make sure it doesn't lose settings between on & off sequences)?

If you upgrade to a newer release, do you see the 7.0R2 or 7.1Rx version when you power back on?

How do you set the image to persistent? I've not done any upgrades.

FYI if you find this thread and have the same problem:

VM -> Settings -> Hard Disk -> Avdanced -> then tick the "Independent box and select the persistent radio button
