I'm creating roles in my new MAG2600 cluster (8.0R4.1 (build 31475)) and after creating about 6 roles happened to notice the Default Options that I had set aren't being pulled or loaded when I create a new Role.
For example, the one I noticed, the Session Lifetime times that I had set in Default Options (120, 240, 10) aren't being used in the new roles being created.
The new roles have 10, 60, 5.
I guess I could make a Template role and duplicate it and rename, but what's the point of the Default Options if they don't get used?
Am I not doing something right or is this just not working?
*edit* it appears that it's just the General/Session Options that's not being used in new Roles.

This is normal behavior. I do not believe default options are intended as a template for new roles, but rather they are invoked if you dont specify session options in your newly created roles.
hmm..
ok, I guess I can just make a role to use as a template then.
Really annoying to have to change the same settings ot the same values for each role.
If you want to use the settings across all (or most roles) then don't select the option on the new roles and the defaults will be used for the user session.
You only need to enable the settings on the new role if you want to use settings different from the default.
