I am unable to download and install the pulse secure application launcher. I cannot even find the link C:\ProgramData\Pulse Secure\Logging or C:\Users\Public\Pulse Secure\Logging folder for review , in my laptop. So, anyone can help me with it?
Are you not able to install the PSAL using the MSI package which gets downloaded to your machine automatically, or not able to launch other pulse components using PSAL i.e. receiving the error detected an internal error after accepting the Pulse application launcher (PSAL) prompt presented?
I presume you're using Windows OS, could you please use IE to launch/start the Pulse components since IE would not be using PSAL for doing the function?
Thanks. Actually after succesful installation of pulse secure app, there should be atleast 5 more files which have to be installed additionally and that is not getting installed for me.Yes ,I am using Windows 10 Enterprise OS. Sorry I didn't understand that start the pulse components which you mentioned in the reply?
@shreya anand Thank you for the clarification. Additional 5 files after Pulse Client installation?! Can you please name the filenames for me? After successful client installation, you can directly use the Pulse Client to connect to the VPN, correct? Did you try creating a new connection entry and try connecting?
Actually there are some pulse setup client files which has to be installed with the application launcher but it's not getting installed. Also, I am not able to open the Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer in my laptop only google chrome is working for me.The error is Internet Explorer cannot display web page might be due to DNS problem ->inet-e-resource-not-found-error. Can you please tell me how to fix it?
Do I need to have licensed Windows ?
so you're trying to login to the VPN server web portal through browser and attempting to click on the start button which is next to Pulse Secure and see the installation getting failed with detected an internal error?
Hmm..that's weird. IE should be work with the same hostname instead it shows DNS error. Are you able to access other websites using IE and Edge? Just the VPN server hostname is not working? No, it should not be affected by Windows license.
Thanks. No am not able to access anything on IE and Edge .Could you please help me with that ?
I believe it's your work laptop/workstation, is IE and Edge works for other users who're the same office provided workstations? It could be something that might've enforced by your company IT team.
Is it because of some issue in OS? Should I reinstall my OS again? Will that be a solution to the problem. Could you please tell me the possible options that why it's not getting installed or what should I do now ?
I'm still kinda unclear about the issue, as I have asked earlier..."so you're trying to login to the VPN server web portal through browser and attempting to click on the start button which is next to Pulse Secure and see the installation getting failed with detected an internal error?"
When you go to Control panel >> Installed program lists >> How many pulse secure related programs were installed and what their names?
