Hello,
When users first connect to my SA's (MAG2600 and 2 x 6611s), the respective Pulse component set is automatically downloaded to them with their connection profiles pre-configured. - this works perfectly.
If however I want to modify or add another connection to the profile will this update/change be automatically pushed to the users Pulse client when they next connect or does the end user need to remove their Pulse client profile manually to force the component set to be re-installed? - I'm hoping that the connections can be automatically updated...
The end users do not have the capability to add or modify existing profiles and I have locked this option out.
Many thanks in advance.
Yes, if the end user connects back to the same device they received the pulse configuration from, it will automatically make the adjustments (adding or deleting) connection sets.
If end user are going to make connections to multiple SA devices in your environment, ensure to make all of the changes on one specific device and perform an XML export of the Pulse configuration set and import to the other devices. The reasoning is each Pulse connection has a specific GUID assigned to it and must be the same across all devices. If there is a mismatch in GUID, it will not push the connection sets to the following Pulse users. To ensure this happens, export and import of the Pulse connection set from one device to another will ensure these match across your environment.
Hello Kita,
Many thanks for this information, we do currently only make changes to one of our SA's and push the change to our other appliance, so I will try the export/import process so the GUID matches and verify profiles are updated regardless of which SA our clients connect to.
I have a connection set on my test gateway but when I access it using a newly installed copy of Pulse, the connection list is not being pushed to the client. Is there something I need to set so this occurs ?
Thanks,
Steve
