ESAP 2.7.0 and Kaspersky AV

Since upgrading to ESAP 2.7.0 I've had three users report that real time file scanning is not being detected for some Kaspersky AV products.

So far the following versions are failing our Host Checker policy.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 14.0.0.4651, 13.0.2.558, and 13.0.1.4190.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Re: ESAP 2.7.0 and Kaspersky AV

We have confirmations from our users that Kaspersky 2015 is being detected properly by ESAP 2.7.2.

Re: ESAP 2.7.0 and Kaspersky AV

I'm having a user report that Kaspersky Internet Security 14.x doesn't work either.

Re: ESAP 2.7.0 and Kaspersky AV

Any update on this issue? I have received reports from users that Kaspersky 15.x is not even being detected, despite it being listed as supported in the 2.7.0 release and displayed in the product list under the predefined AV rules. I downloaded a trail version of Kaspersky Internet Security 15.0.1.451 on my Windows 7 test machine and Host Checker simply reports that anti-virus software listed in the security requirement is not installed.

The older versions of Kaspersky are detected but real time protection is reported as not enabled.

We are still working with OPSWAT on this issue.  I will update this thread once the issue is resolved.

Kita, has anyone come up with a set of custom process and file rules as a temporary work around?

Re: ESAP 2.7.0 and Kaspersky AV

It looks like multiple products are affected so it is not specific to Kaspersky.  You should be able to check for the process name until we have a resolution.

Re: ESAP 2.7.0 and Kaspersky AV

I see. I was hoping not to have to do the legwork myself, since I can't seem to obtain the 13.x and 14.x versions of the product to test with from Kaspersky. They only let you download the 15.x version.

Can you fill us in on what other products are affected?

Re: ESAP 2.7.0 and Kaspersky AV

We have the same problem after an upgrade to ESAP 2.7.0, with all versions of Kaspersky except the 2015 version.

We have had to return to ESAP version 2.6.8, because the ESAP 2.6.9 seem to have the same bug.
