Avast released a new version of antivirus and it is not supported in the latest ESAP. Is there a way to add in versions or do we have to wait for pulse?

The supported AV list depends on the ESAP plugin version, if a Particular AV is not listed for the latest ESAP version available, you can open up a support case with a screenshot of the about page of the AV and the support will be added in a future ESAP version they are released usually once per month, so depending on when you file the ticket it would either be the next version, or the one after that.
Irrespective of that the list is also being gradually updated of course, with a support case you can bring more attention to a particular product.
While you wait for the predefined check addition, you can craft a custom check policy using custom process and optionally registry/md5 checks to check if the particular AV is installed and running.
