ESAP upgrade or not?

We do have an MAG2600 in HA pair. Current IVE 8.1R5 going to > 8.2R6. Current ESAp is 2.9.1

The question is do we have to upgrade ESAP? If yes, which version is recommended for our future code? What should we upgrade first IVE or ESAP?

Yes, ESAP needs to upgrade by default with the appliance upgrade
You can downgrade after the upgrade; however, the latest version is recommended for maximum support
The order does not matter
