The more recent firmware versions changed the setting that used to allow us to set how old anti-virus definitions could be and still allow access through the host checker. We used to use 15 days. Later versions were changed to this:"Virus Definition files should not be older than nnn Updates. Note: The maximum update value entry should be in the range of 1-10"
That's a problem. Symantec Endpoint Protection v11 puts out a minimum of three updates a day. We've had to set this to 10 updates but it's still causing host checker failures if someone turns on their laptop after it's been off for four days.
Thanks for listening.
I have no clue who that is and don't know how I would find out. They must not think we have a lot of money to spend. :-)
