I have a user that is getting the above error on Junos Pulse 5.0 on a Mac Pro running Mavericks. They do not have any third-party antivirus or firewall products, and have a Macbook Pro they think is set up identically where Pulse works fine. I've tried to search the KB and Google around, but haven't had much luck seeing this behavior documented anywhere for a Mac.
Specifically, Pulse installs, but that error is produced when they attempt to establish a connection. I've had the user uninstall Pulse and NC and delete all the Juniper directories documented in the client side changes document.
Has anyone seen this? Any suggestions what troubleshooting steps I could take?
I haven't heard of any widespread issues with creating a virtual adapter on a Mac. In general, Pulse should create a virtual adapter (utun0). If you run a ifconfig, do you see something already running as utun0. I have seen in the past the 'back to my mac' running a utun0, but this would not cause a 1205 error.
The back to my mac issue should be resolved in 5.0R2.
I can confirm that turning off Back to My Mac in System Preferences->iCloud->Checkbox next to Back to my Mac, resolves this issue.
Were you able to solve this problem? I am getting the same error message and I can't find a way to fix it.
Here's an update:
Earlier this week, I rebuilt the Launch Services database, updated the locate and whatis databases, cleared cache and log files, and repaired permissions. (I used a Mac app called Cocktail for this.) I restarted, launched Pulse, and it connected! IÕve used it 20 or 30 times since then and it's worked every time without a hitch.
First, the good news... it works. Bad news? I'm sure exactly how I fixed the problem, but if you're stuck, try using Cocktail, Onyx, or another Mac system utility to clean everything up.
if you are using any Encryption on the users, you need to whitelist juniper virtual adapter as allowed Network adapters.
Hello everyone, I have this issue on my iMac, and my Corporate IT can't seem to figure it out.
I am running the OS X Maverick on an iMac Air with no problem, but this machine has an error.
Any ideas how I can fix it?
Had a client with same problem with 10.9.5.
Did in Cocktail-Network Reset Connection Type, my guess is that something in TCP/UDP stack got changed.
Then it worked.
It's been awhile, and I was trying everything just to see whether it would work. I run the pilot pretty regularly so I think I did something more manual within Cocktail.
BTW, I installed Yosemite yesterday and Pulse worked perfectly without any messing around.
