Good morning all,
We ran into an interesting article a while back. Now a bit curious whether Juniper offered any additional information regarding the future of the Pulse product line.

We have a sizable deployment of Juniper SA appliances, so this, coupled with lack of info from Juniper a bit unnerving. Would be good to hear directly from Juniper on this topic.
The article is about the mobile security software Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite.

This is a different package from the Junos Pulse that connects to the SSL VPN.

I find this confusing myself, and I think the desire inside Juniper to harmonize names is creating confusion. "One Junos" for the network operating system has been extended to the "Junos Pulse" brand for installed software. But each of these software packages does totally different functions and are independent packages. So whatever is gained by marketing name harmonization is lost in the confusion created by calling a remote access software the same name as a security software you install on phones.
Not to mention that the use of Junos for two completely different products with different syntax is confusing. Junos on the routers, switches and firewalls is cli driven networking OS. The Junos Pulse gateway cannot be configured on the cli and is a web based remote access product. The only thing they have in common is the underlying BSD that they run on top of.
Thanks for chiming in. Hopefully you are right and this is in reference to the Mobile Security Suite only, but knowing this information is out there, lack of clarification directly from Juniper has been dissapointing.
They are never going to comment on a rumor, especially if they are trying to find a buyer.
Hopefully it only affects the mobile piece, and not Junos Pulse or SA.
You're probably right. I suspect however the silence on this matter is costing them money. I am sure we are not an only customer reluctant to invest any more capital into refreshing this solution without a comfort level as to what the future holds.
Same for us. Pulse is/was a great product....

would be great if us as customers was informed as to what the future holds.
Still nothing formal from Juniper or from the newco that purchased Pulse.
Apparently even our VAR is not getting their emails and calls returned. With both previous ownership changes; from Neoteris to Netscreen, and then to Juniper, communication has been great, sales org was proactively engaging us to keep up in the loop. Juniper has dropped the ball on this one.
I have been a proponent of the IVE for almost a decade. I know it well enough to address the majority of the use cases we get thrown at us. However, the lack of communication, along with a clear direction is making it downright impossible to consider moving forward with this product.
Yup, took some digging though my email, but I found it.. I suppose my fault for having overlooked it, but one would think deserves more attention than being included as a line item in an otherwise inconspicuous notification
This was actually the body of the email.
