Host Checker Error hcutil.dll is not found - reinstalli_ng may resolve issue

We recently upgraded from 6.5R2.0 to 7.1R2.0.

Deployed the new Juniper Installer Service with some issues with a number of laptops not connecting properly due to Network Connect not being able to install.

After this is corrected, we appear to have users calling up about hcutils.dll missing.

Is anyone getting this type of error? Will be logging a call to Juniper as well.

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

It may be related to the use of Roaming Profiles. This KB may help. Good luck.

Re: Host Checker Error hcutil.dll is not found - reinstalli_ng may resolve issue

John,

We had the issue for a couple months due to upgrading from 6.5 to 7.0R4 and the resolution from Juniper was to create a group policy to exclude the Juniper settings folder from being written to the network folder. It works but I hope they resolve the issue in a newer release to avoid having to create the policy.
