Hi All
The company i work for is currently running a test upgrade from Sophos v 9.7 to 10.0 . On the pilot machines when users try to connect through Juniper the host checker setup fails. I have found if I delete the following folder
C:\Users\*profilename*\AppData\Roaming\Juniper Networks
and try to login again, it pulls a fresh install of host checker from the Juniper box which successfully installs and runs, I can then authenticate and connect.
If I reboot my machine, the same cycle starts again, host checker shows a setup failed.
This is only affecting the Sophos 10 pilot group
The Host Checker version is 6.5 and the local machines are windows 7 pro 64bit, any ideas?
Have you upgraded to Juniper SSL VPN 7.2? That version supports Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. If you are running an earlier version on Juniper SSL VPN try the following:
This worked for us beofre upgrading to the new 7.2
Here isthe fix i posted a month or so ago:
I found the fix for this on accident actually...With Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit there has to be a registry entry added. The path to the registry key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu
rrentVersion\WinLogon\DefaultDomainName. By default the Default Domain Name entry is missing from Win7. Add a new string value and type in DefaultDomainName. In the value data enter your Domain (ours is called Complink for instance) and save the the new string value. Install host checker and use the 32-bit version of IE to sign into your SVW. We are currently using this with no issues.
Also try and update to the latest ESAP which is 2.1.4 and check if that helps.
