Host Checker not detecting Windows Firewall enabled when user not on Domain network

We have started getting a problem where Host Checker not detecting Windows Firewall on Window 7 as enabled when user not on Domain network. The firewall is definitely on for all networks as reported by Control Panel but Host Checker and the amioesisok.exe utility detect the Firewall is there but are detecting it as Disabled. Here is the line from the amioesisok log:

IsFirewallEnabled, Result: OK Value: False

When the user is on the internal domain network the result is:

IsFirewallEnabled, Result: OK Value: True

Running 6.5R4.1 and ESAP 1.7.4

I've tried with different users some with admin rights some without but the result is the same.

It only seems to be new machines so far. We've been running windows 7 for almost a year now without issue.

Any ideas?

Please try to disable UAC from Windows 7 and check if that resolves your problem

To change the UAC settings, please refer the below microsoft KB:

Also, please try to upgrade the ESAP to 1.7.6 version - the download link is below:

https://download.juniper.net/software/ive/releases/esap/1.7.6/j-esap-1.7.6.pkg
