Host Cheker and MS NAP

Hi,

is it possible to integrate Microsoft`s NAP within Host Checker.

Is HC able to understand and to handle SoH?

Kind regards

Re: Host Cheker and MS NAP

What NAP? After a quick look, it looks like a NAC system that has Host Checker-like capability; is that correct? If there is a client installed on the PC, you can check for that. If it uses TNC IMV/IMC you should be able to configure this on your SA; but this is not something I have heard or seen yet. It looks like the MS NAP product is similar in nature to the Juniper Unified Access Controller (http://www.juniper.net/us/en/products-services/security/uac/)

Re: Host Cheker and MS NAP

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

I like to configure Microsoft NAP Servers as IMV Servers to our Juniper SA.

On the above link i found the following:

http://www.juniper.net/us/en/products-services/security/uac/#modules

My Question:

Juniper UAC supports Microsoft NAP/SOH with an own Module.

Can i configure Juniper VPN SSL SA 7.0 on an 4500 Cluster for comunication with an Microsoft NAP Server?

regards

Re: Host Cheker and MS NAP

The module you referenced is available only for the Juniper UAC platform.

If the Microsft NAP server supports IMV/IMC communication, I would expect this to be possible by following the setup information on both sides to create that link; unfortunately, I do not know for sure if that will work.

I would recommend opening a case with JTAC and asking them for help with IMC/IMV configuration.

Does the NAP server install software on the client that you could check for using a custom process check in Host Checker and if that is present, allow access; then from there the communication to the NAP server could happen over Network Connect?
