you should be able to go into the maintenance section Import/Export, and export it to a .cfg file on your local machine, or export it as an xml file.

Re: How to Cature Config file from SSL VPN.

If you want to capture the configuration to load to another SA, you need to export the system configuration (holds device-specific information like network settings), user configuration (contains roles and policies, etc.) and the IVS configuration (if you are running IVSs on the machine).

If you want something nominally readable by a human, you want the XML export. Some parts of the configuration are not included in the XML export, I believe (I seem to remember resource profiles are not, but that may have been fixed by now.).

Is there a way to capture the config so that it can be imported into an SA running a different version of the OS?

I've had to rebuild my SA recently because something happened to the config that meant upgrades failed... I had to reset the config in order to upgrade but then I had no way to import the old config (or bits of it).
