Hi,
We are using SA 4000 with system firmware version 6.3 R1-2 .The users are getting authenticated through Win NT and
logging into the SSL Box and accessing the resources.
Is there any way we can restrict Non-Domain or Workgroup machines from connecting to SSL.
I mean If the machine is a Domain Machine then only he should get authenticated and Log in.
Else SSL Box should Reject the Log in.
Need you kind Suggestions.
You can try this with Host checker. If you configure your host checker to check for the registry key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultDomainName _
this key shows you the value of the domain that this computer belongs.
Host checker can be configured to allow only computers that belong to specific domains. If the domains dont match the value in this key they are considered to have failed the host check and not be allowed access.
Note: Please use registry key checks with caution.
Thanks for a Solution.
Could you please tell me where this policy should be associated ,the Realm or Roles.
If yes, Can we apply this policy to some specifc Roles depending on the requirement.
The short answer is yes - you can apply the policy at either the realm or the role level. If you want to apply at the role level make sure you enable host check at the realm level but do not enforce. Just enforce on the role(s) you care about.
