How to secure the console port on the IVE device

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to secure the console port of the SA devices please?

Even a simple password before the menu is presented.

Hi, you should be able to configure a serial console password to get in and do changes via serial console. We have this on our devices. This below comes from a SA6000 device Look at this menu: Please choose from among the following options: 1. Network Settings and Tools 2. Create admin username and password 3. Display log/status 4. System Operations 5. Toggle password protection for the console (On) 6. Create a Super Admin session. 7. System Snapshot 8. Reset allowed encryption strength for SSL 10. Toggle SSL HW Acceleration (system will reboot when this setting is modified): off 11. Exit Serial Console Session Choice: 11 Press Enter to modify system settings. Welcome to the Juniper Networks IVE Serial Console! Please input an administrator username and password. Admin username:
