We've an SA2500 on 6.4 R1. On one laptop I'm seeing that when I visit our IVE default logon screen, Windows Data Execution Prevention kicks in and closes the page, but I don't understand why it's only doing it on this single machine?
The Juniper Installer Service is installed, and the browser is IE8.
The laptop is running XP Pro SP3 with all updates as of around an hour ago when it was updated via Microsoft Update (the laptop was never configured to use the SA before so I don't know if these issues are related to the updates or not).
Bump...
I'm having the same issue with an XP-SP3 w/ IE8 machine. DEP kills the browser session after the user logs in to the IVE.
I'm running 6.4R4.1.
It has no problems from a computer running IE6 or 7.
I've seen this issue once before. The user was running a really old (and no longer supported by MS) Microsoft Java VM. If the MS JVM is installed, uninstall it (also make sure to remove any old MS JVM ActiveX componets, if present), and then install Sun's Java JVM (www.java.com) if you still need Java.
You can also disable DEP if you do not need it.
