Import binary user/system config file

Hi Community,

small question :

Is the importing of user/system config files, exported from an older version, supported in a newer version ? If so, between which versions ?

Example : exporting user.cfg and system.cfg from eg 8.0/8.1/8.2/8.3 and importing them in eg 9.0 or 9.1

Any caveats which need to be taken into account ?

Thanks,

Vincent

Re: Import binary user/system config file

@Vinz129 Importing old version configs on to a new version is supported and should work without any issues. However, I would not import configs from 8.0Rx into 9.0Rx as we are almost skipping more than 2 branches...8.0Rx >> 8.1Rx >> 8.2Rx >> 8.3Rx >> 9.0Rx.

Just to be on the safer side, I would not import configs from a version which is 2-step away from my current. So my way of doing would be export 8.0Rx >> import to 8.2Rx >> export from 8.2Rx >> Import to 9.0Rx.
