Installation of PulseSecure rolled back on Windows 10

Hi,

I am trying to install PulseSecure on a Windows 10 Pro device and I get the following error:

00160,09 2021/11/02 11:51:10.842 1 SYSTEM MsiExec.exe jnprTdi p9272 t4078 jnprTdiInstDLL.cpp:208 - 'jnprTdi' deletion of driver file jnprTdi_9113_11723 failed, error 2
00150,09 2021/11/02 11:51:10.851 1 SYSTEM MsiExec.exe jnprTdi p9272 t4078 jnprTdiInstDLL.cpp:227 - 'jnprTdi' deletion of driver key jnprTdi_9113_11723 failed

I have already tried to follow what was described in here, but for me the command:

>> sc delete jnprTdi_XXX_XXXX doesn't work as there is no jnprTdi_XXX_XXXX in my drivers (all I can find there is jnprns.sys --> shall I delete that one?).

driverquery /FO LIST | findstr "Pulse" --> returns

Module Name: PulseSAM
Display Name: Pulse Secure WFP Driver (PulseSAM)

I have attached the setupapi.app.log and setupapi.dev.log for more info related to the issue (02/11/2021 timestamp of last retried 11:50 ):

How can I proceed? It's very important for me to have PulseSecure installed for being able to connect to the client's VPN.

Thanks for the help! If I should provide more info, please let me know

Re: Installation of PulseSecure rolled back on Windows 10

@cristina10 Post has been marked as Spam because of WeTransfer link. I was able to review the setupapi logs and identified that the JNPRNS service installation is failing.

Can you please provide the MSI install logs for review?

BTW, what AV do you have installed? Is it possible to uninstall the AV, try installing the Pulse Client and then reinstall the AV back once Pulse client got installed?

Re: Installation of PulseSecure rolled back on Windows 10

Thank you, @cristina10

From the MSI logs, I can see JNPRNS driver installation is failing with error code 0x8007007E which means the failure is caused by third party programs like AV, corrupt registry, etc.

If possible, try to uninstall the AV, reboot the machine, reinstall the Pulse Client. Also, you can try running this Microsoft tool - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-r...
