Internet not accessible after connecting to the VPN

When I connect the VPN through Pulse Secure Mac Client v 9.1.1 the internet is not accessible anymore. Is there a way to route the traffic for some specific IPs through VPN and the rest to Internet. My OS is MacOS Mojave 10.14.2.

Yeah. resource policies - split tunneling resources on the server has a setting for split tunneling. I listed everything that was within my network. There is also a setting under the user roles section where you select tunnel enabled.
