JSAM fails to launch on Mavericks with Java 7

Has anyone been able to launch JSAM on OS X 10.9, with only Oracle Java 7 Update 45 installed?  I can get hostchecker to run, but JSAM throws an error and I get prompted to install Java 6 that Apple distributes. Doesn't work in Safari or Firefox.

JSAM will run after the Java 6 is installed, but this is not a good option for our remote users.  Any success or ideas in getting JSAM to launch with only the Oracle Java 7 installed?  Thanks!

No. Do you see the same thing with mountain lion? What code version are you running? Does this happen even after allowing legacy/unsafe mode?
If you have a case open, can you please message me the number? If not, open & send it to me so I can track it on this side as well?

I have the same issue, unsafe mode doesn't help.

The problem is not only with pulse but also with network connect.

Installing java 6 http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572 will make it possible to run pulse and network connect

UPDATE: JSAM fails to launch on Mavericks with Java 7

Interestingly in does launch when the whole JDK is installed (Java 7, U45) but that really isn't an option for end users.  Any thoughts why the JRE alone doesn't seem to work?
