Java Security Problem - Host checker?

Hi,

i make my head spin finding the correct way for a simple task:

I would like my SA2500s Host checker to make sure connecting users have their java installations patched up from the recent security leak that appeared this week.

I tried adding a patch remediation, but in the (FWIW: very badly designed) list of softwares i find only java dev, not java it self.

Maybe i'm even looking into the completely wrong direction, so any heads up to the correct direction would be appreciated.

So whats the recommended approach to make sure my users have their Devices patched up to atleast Java 1.7U7?

Hi,

You can try using hostchecker rule based on patch assesment and check for Java development Kit.

If this is not working  you may try using hostchecker rule based on registry check. Hope this helps
