Hi all,
I have a new SA2500 setup, I cannot connect from Junos Pulse on my Win7 machine. I get the following error;
Error 1110: Unable to communicate with the server.
I don't think this is a network or access related issues as I can connect via Network Connect. I have also setup Pulse on my iPhone3GS and this works perfectly.
I did dig around on the SA2500 for logs that could explain why the Junos Pulse-Win7 machine cannot connect, I found the following;
Browser on host x.x.x.x is not supported for Host Checker or Cache Cleaner: User agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/6.0.472.63 Safari/534.3.
This seems odd as I have disabled host check both at the realm and role levels. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply zanyterp.
I have found the issue to my problem and it was a simple one... a code upgrade. I upgraded the SA2500 to 7.x code and I can successfully connect via Junos Pulse from my WIn7 machine. I found this when reading in some of the SA documentation... pulse appears to be officially supported in 7.x code and I was running 6.x code. What was odd was that my iPhone 3GS had no issues connected via Junos Pulse when running the 6.x code.
For a installable VPN client option Pulse and SA appliance seems to work very well together so far.
Does it work from the Pulse client rather than browser?
Do you have any user-agent strings restrictions enabled?
Does your policy trace show that you are mapping to the Pulse role successfully (or any unexpected Host Checker/Cache Cleaner items)?
Does it only happen when you connect from Chrome (which is not a supported browser)?
Thanks for the reply zanyterp.

Hi stefherb,
Glad to hear that resolved the issue.
You are correct that Pulse on iOS is supported on previous versions of the IVE; for Windows clients 7.0 is required.
Glad I found this--important information for those still on 6.5 hoping to test the Junos Pulse Windows client!
I must have missed this in the release notes...
Junos Pulse for iOS (iPhone/iPad) is just repackaged Network Connect, so it works with IVE 6.5 and later.
Junos Pulse for Windows uses it own protocol. It requires 7.0 or later.
