Junos Pulse using Acme Gizmo?

Hello, I have a question about Acme Gizmo.

Currently I am trying to use Junos pulseand when I was researching on Junos Pulse, I found demo video on Youtube.

What is exactly acme gizmo? Must I need to use that if I use Junos Pulse?

Thanks

Re: Junos Pulse using Acme Gizmo?

You should not be attempting to do anything using AcmeGizmo. As Ken said it is for resellers to use for demonstrations of SSL-VPN for sales purposes. You want to consider Junos Pulse just like Network Connect - it is another way to get VPN connectivity to your network through the SSL box. So you you need to use / define all the standard SSL "stuff" - auth server, realm, role, etc.

When you configure a role and you select Network Connect (NC) you now can choose between NC and Pulse as your connection client.

Re: Junos Pulse using Acme Gizmo?

Acme Gizmo is a bogus company name which Juniper has used in SA demo configurations forever - in fact, I think it dates from the Neoteris beginnings of the device.

Re: Junos Pulse using Acme Gizmo?

Thank you very much for your responce. But I myself think that Acme Gizmo is not a just a bogus company name.

See here http://acmegizmo.com/

I think that Acme Gizmo is a some kind a authenticate server or something like that isn't it?

Re: Junos Pulse using Acme Gizmo?

All of this is just for Juniper demos. The name comes from the Road Runner cartoons in the US about 50 years ago - Wile E. Coyote would purchase all sorts of equipment from the Acme Gizmo company to use in his pursuit of the Road Runner.

Re: Junos Pulse using Acme Gizmo?

Thank you very much for your kindness.

So, in my understanding is Acme Gizmo is just a fake company's name and I should prepare a authenticate server to authorize users from remote access instead of that?
