so just upgraded our lab box to 7.0R1 and am wondering if anyone was able to get the Junos Pulse to launch and if so what is the config settings used, i set it to When endpoint adddress(s) is 192.168.0.0-192.168.2.254 on any interface but i am not getting anything happening.
ahh so i need a role, configuring now...
I'm kind of scared to update.... does pulse coexist with network connect or?
luckily we have a lab box i can throw anything i want on it, from what im seeing junos pulse is part of network connect but for WSAM i get this... Note: On Windows Mobile, WSAM functionality is delivered via Junos Pulse
tested via my Omnia II, works fine, but from windows XP, it just alternates between waiting to connect, connecting, waiting to connect...but never establishes a connection. the only thing i can see thats different is that i am not specifying a realm name as i do on the mobile.
ok, Pulse is part of network connect and just needs either an IP address pool or a DHCP server in order for it to work.
Pulse is separate from Network Connect; they are distinct L3 VPN connections.
They do share some configuration options (connection profiles and other NC items); but they are different clients and cannot be running simultaneously.
thank you, unfortunately we had major issues with NC and it assigning its own MAC address that we are now using WSAM for the time being,
Hello,
I'm also trying junos pulse through our SA LAB gateway (7.0R1).
In my configuration I'm trying to use Junos Pulse instead of NC. I successfully get connected to the SA (connection status : connected)
When I check on the SA admin interface , I see that I'm assigned the first address of my DHCP pool, but when I try to ping or access a ressource behind my SA i get nothing !!! the tunnel doesn't seem to be up !
I keep testing .....

What does your ACL look like (Users>Resource Policies>Network Connect>Access Control)?
What happens when you do a tracert to an internal resource?
Are you using split tunneling enabled or disabled? If enabled, do you have the network(s) you want to connect to defined successfully in Users>Resource Policies>Network Connect>Split Tunneling Networks for the role you are assigned after login? Is the network you are connecting to different from your local network?
Hello,
I did a new test this morining and every thing seems OK
