Junos on iPad 4.3

Hi all, I have a user who updated their iPad to 4.3 this morning and it appears that the Junos client no longer works. anyone else seen this issue? Thanks. -S

I have an iPad running 4.3 with no issues with Pulse. Do you know what the issue is?

Hello,

 

There is a PR open for this issue: PR591538. I have been unable to replicate the issue so far on iOS 4.3 and 4.2.1. 

 

Have you tried to "reset all settings" to see if this resolves the issue? Obviously this would not be our recommended fix. I am curious to see if you can still replicate the issue after factory resetting the iOS device.

That is funny that you mention that PR. When I first installed Pulse on my iPad I did have that same issue. Totally forgot about it. Did the reset and it worked fine.

Thanks for the quick replys. Looks like this was self-inflicted. We use Browser UserAgent strings to block non IOS devices and I needed to add the 4.3 version.... -Stephen

I can now replicate the issue. It seems to happen when the language (iOS setting) is set to Italiano. If you see the issue in another language, please let us know.

 

Our developers are working on a solution for this now.

 

As for a temporary work around you can do the following:

 

  1. Uninstall Junos Pulse.
  2. Switch the iOS device to use the English language.
  3. Install Junos Pulse.
  4. Accept the EULA agreement.
  5. Change your language setting back to your native language.

I think I got the problem that look likes that you discuss here.
logon with iPhone 4.3.2 works fine

I push the same profile to the iPad and it doesn't work.

every time i start the junos puls client I got enable - that's confusing. - not normally

configuration is avalable and checked again and again

error message on SA Box - no certificate

error message on iPad missing certificate

error message in logs from iPad

- pppcontroller_sendmsg returns error -1

other messages in log thats confusing me
