Kiosk sign in page

Does anyone use the Kiosk sign-in page as a level of additional security?

I am currently using additional authentication via safeword (key fob) and am looking to swap this out with the Kiosk sign-in page as it looks cool.

The only limitation I can see is that there is no option to choose the Realm, you need to enter it (a form of security maybe?).

Any comments would be helpful.

Re: Kiosk sign in page

No - you can have multiple realms associated with the Kiosk login page. This page operates the same as any other login page. Realm display (or lack of it) is based on the realm settings in the Sign-In Policies entry for the associated page. Allowing the user to select from a single realm eliminates the realm selection choice. Allowing the user to select from multiple let's the user do so.

You can see the standard (no choice) page at kiosk.itgmeeting.com

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for the response.

Yes you are right, there is an option for a selection list. How stupid of me.

However I guess my real concern for the long term is after moving to the Kiosk based template (first dumping Safeword), Juniper may decide to remove the template option in the future leaving me high and dry.

Kudos to you anyway.

Re: Kiosk sign in page

I will take your kudo with pleaure Smiley Happy I understand your concern but I think that you would be very safe in implementing the kiosk pages. Even if Juniper was to decide to no longer offer the sample templates the functionality offered by the kiosk page is really just HTML for soft password entry.

Just my two cents worth!
