LDAP migration - Impact on the Pulse Connect Secure

Hello,

I need an urgent reply please.

The customer will perform a migration of the LDAP servers from windows 2012 to 2016. We don't have any visibility on these environments.

We handle the PCS cluster (PSA 5000) on which the LDAP servers (also 2 backup servers) are configured.

Could you please tell me what is the impact during this migration, on the PCS , on the users sessions ? any huge risk ? What are the precautions ?

What is the ETA of the downtime ?

Is there a safe migration which won't impact the users sessions ?

I would appreciate any valuable informations.

Thank you.

Regards

Re: LDAP migration - Impact on the Pulse Connect Secure

If the 2012 servers stay up while the 2016 servers are brought online, there should be no impact. if the 2012 servers are brought down and then the 2016 servers are brought up, users will not be able to authenticate during the window in which there is no auth server available
in either event, there should be no impact on existing sessions; however, users that are logging in may experience denial.
downtime ETA depends on how they are managing the move; i would recommend having a maintenance window during the final cutover so you can test to confirm access is successful to the new servers
